Upsurance is an insuretech disrupting the trading of insurance. We operate as a B2B marketplace between underwriters and brokers in one of the largest industries globally. We currently focus on commercial insurance in the UK. Some of our product offerings include commercial combined, combined liability, cyber insurance, marine cargo, property owners, amongst others. Upsurance provides a complete, end-to-end solution across the policy lifecycle. Our risk-matching algorithm and data schemas deliver an intuitive, simple solution in a complex environment.

Our team brings a multi-disciplinary approach to market including, B2B marketplace and SaaS products, in addition to engineering, insurance underwriting and distribution expertise.

We are a VC-backed startup in addition to having notable angels and advisors with us on the journey.

The role

We are looking for an experienced business development manager to help us deliver our new platform to the UK insurance broking market. The successful candidate will have at least ten years’ proven experience prospecting for and selling products or services to general insurance brokers. You’ll work closely with the senior management team and play a key role in developing the broker marketing strategy. You’ll use your extensive knowledge of the insurance broker landscape to accurately target suitable prospects and carry out both virtual and physical meetings to bestow the benefits of Upsurance and turn these opportunities into users.
